The Challenge
Breadth is a problem for a builder's website. Skystone does new homes, extensions, loft conversions, renovations, roofing and interior design, and handles architectural plans and planning applications on top.
A homeowner does not arrive looking for a design and build firm. They arrive looking for one thing: a loft. And a site that lists nine capabilities on one page reads as a firm that does none of them particularly well.
What we built
The structure separates the services so each one can be found on its own terms, rather than stacking them into a single list a homeowner has to read past. Someone searching for a loft conversion lands on loft conversions, not on a general capability statement.
The planning and architectural side is treated as a service rather than a footnote, which is a genuine differentiator. Most builders send you elsewhere for drawings and permits. Skystone handles them, and the site now says so.
Nothing for the team to maintain. Netspire handles hosting, updates and changes on the monthly subscription.
The results
What the site does from day one is make the full-service claim provable rather than assertable. Eight completed projects sit on the page with their locations, from Havilah Care in Milton Keynes to Kettering House. Three clients are named alongside the exact specification they had built, including a six-bedroom HMO conversion with a rear extension and a pair of four-bed conversions for a property company. That level of detail is what an investor is actually scanning for, because it tells them Skystone has done their project before.
The other change is who the site is now built to convince. Weekly site meetings with the full team is a promise about control, not craftsmanship, and control is what someone with money in a build cares about most.
