The Challenge
Leffler Search had the harder half of the problem solved. The firm was placing attorneys into elite practices, including moves from regional firms into the AmLaw 10, and had the candidate testimonials to prove it.
The website was the part that had not kept up. Dated, generic, indistinguishable from any other recruitment site, and carrying none of the seniority of the work behind it.
That gap costs a recruiter more than it costs most businesses. Both audiences check you before they engage, and both are people who assess credibility for a living. A partner at a top firm decides whether you operate at their level in about four seconds. An attorney weighing a career move does the same. A dated site answers that question for you, and answers it wrong.
What we built
The homepage splits at the top. Attorneys and Law Firms are two clear routes, so each visitor self-selects within seconds rather than reading past content written for someone else. That matters because the two arrive wanting opposite things. An attorney quietly considering a move wants discretion. A hiring partner wants evidence of reach.
Below that, the proof is arranged for both. Six practice specialisms establish this as a specialist firm rather than a generalist agency. Five long-form candidate testimonials sit underneath, unusually detailed for recruitment: one describes the move into an AmLaw 10 in New York, another describes cutting through the volume of recruiter noise. They stay anonymous, attributed only by seniority, which demonstrates the discretion promise rather than claiming it.
An insights blog, a team page and the National Association of Legal Search Consultants credential complete the picture.
The results
The site now does what the old one couldn't, which is establish seniority before a conversation starts. Six named practice specialisms mark Leffler out as a specialist rather than a generalist agency. Five candidate accounts sit underneath, detailed enough to be worth reading, including a move from a regional firm into an AmLaw 10 in New York. The National Association of Legal Search Consultants credential and a working insights blog complete a picture of a firm with a view on the market rather than a list of vacancies.
For a business whose two audiences assess credibility for a living, that is the difference between being screened out and being taken seriously.
