The Challenge

Most jewellery brands sell a product and attach a story afterwards. L'or Ensé works the other way round. Rivet is about the honesty of a connection that simply holds. Cartouche borrows from the Egyptian practice of enclosing a king's name to protect it. Sérelle leaves the cast channel bare or fills it with light, depending on what the wearer wants it to mean. Caesura takes its name from the pause in a line of verse.

None of that survives a standard product grid. Strip the ideas out and you have four sets of gold rings at similar prices, and no reason to prefer one over another or to pay what they cost.

What we built

A Shopify store built so the collections lead and the product grid follows.

Each collection gets its own space with the idea stated properly rather than compressed into a caption, so a customer meets Cartouche as an idea before they meet it as a pendant at a price. Underneath that, the conventional routes are all still there: shop by type, by collection, by metal. Someone who arrived knowing they want a platinum ring is never made to read the manifesto first.

The three brand principles sit mid-page, and each one is specific enough to be checkable. Proportions built on the golden ratio. Recycled gold and transparently sourced stones. Pieces meant to enhance rather than transform. Vague values copy is worthless at this price point. Claims a buyer could go and verify are not.

The loose gemstones are the unusual part. Paraiba tourmalines priced between £20,700 and £31,100 sit in the same store as £1,200 ear studs. That is two completely different purchases sharing one checkout, and the merchandising has to keep them from colliding.

The results

What the build put in place: four collections that can each be sold on their own terms rather than as variations on a theme, and a price ladder running from £1,200 to £31,100 inside one store. The store prices in local currency across 31 markets, which matters for coloured stones, where the buyers are international and few.
